Renoir Cottage

Originally built as a magazine for the adjacent gun battery, the cottage foundations date back to the late 18th century. It was then converted into a popular tearoom during the late 19th century, frequented by Victor Hugo and his family. The cottage as it was then appears in the painting 'Fog on Guernsey' by Renoir. 

The cottage has been uncovered from ruins and rebuilt as a private escape by Nik Le Page. Inside you will find a cosy living room, bright kitchen, modern bathroom and mezzanine bedroom accessed by a ladder type open staircase. The grounds provide the perfect place for enjoying Moulin Huet and simply stunning views out over the cliffs and bay. 

Spend a few days unwinding, sea swimming and relaxing in this historic and beautiful location.

Access to the cottage is via a steep unlit pathway - remember to take a torch!
