VAZON
One of Guernsey’s most popular family beaches, Vazon Bay is popular with people of all ages. Both Vistas Beach Café and Crabby Jacks have roof terraces offering stunning views across the bay, and both serve a selection of tasty ice creams to choose from that can be enjoyed on site or taken onto the beach. Richmond Kiosk also serves delicious Guernsey ice cream and other homemade treats.
HAVELET
Found at the southern end of St Peter Port, Havelet Bay is flanked by historic Castle Cornet to its left and the bathing pools at La Vallette to its right. The views out to sea across Herm and Sark are impressive and the Mr Whippy van that parks up beside the slipway during the summer months always proves popular among locals and visitors alike.
PORT SOIF
A beautiful horseshoe-shaped beach on the west coast, Port Soif is a well-sheltered bay frequented by families throughout the summer months. At high tide it is a great swimming spot, while the exposed rock pools at low tide are perfect for exploration. It is served by Surfside, a café and tea garden serving a range of ice creams as well as sandwiches, cakes, Guernsey Gâche and more.
PORTELET
Guernsey’s most south-western extremity is home to the charming Portelet Bay, a sheltered sandy cove with a small harbour from which children love jumping into the sea and crabbing from. The Pleinmont headland is also home to the famous Fairy Ring as well as a WWII Observation Tower, so whether you are exploring the sights or relaxing on the beach, be sure to grab a refreshing ice cream from the Portelet Kiosk.
