Here's our list to discover just some of our favourites to have a long Sunday lunch - whether that be a classic roast, or fresh lobster.
Les Douvres
Nestled in the country lanes of St Martins, Les Douvres is a firm favourite amongst locals. This cosy pub and hotel - which has a beautiful alfresco area for the summer months - has a varied menu including fantastic pizzas, daily specials as well as their popular Roasts. Be sure to book in advance though.
Fleur du Jardin
The Fleur serves up a whole host of classics in a charming converted farmhouse building. With a focus on locally sourced foods, Fleur du Jardin uses local beef and pork from Meadow Court Farm as the centrepieces of their Sunday roasts.
The Duke of Richmond Hotel
Expect a great classic roast in the stylish surroundings of the Leopard Bar and Restaurant at the Duke of Richmond Hotel. Vegetarian options include tagines and risottos, while a fish pie is available too, along with a luxurious array of desserts if you can manage.
La Barbarie Hotel
Very popular with locals, La Barbarie - nestled in the winding lanes of St Martins - is the perfect place to enjoy a cosy Sunday lunch. Tuck into a traditional roast or choose from the extensive menu before exploring the lanes on an after-lunch walk.
Red Grill House and Cocktail Bar
One of the finest restaurants on the Island, a Sunday lunch at Red is a rare treat that never disappoints. Sunday lunch is available only a few times per year, usually around bank holiday weekends, so watch their website for upcoming dates in order to get your hands on one of these gold-dust bookings.
La Reunion
In a spectacular location, with a buzzing cocktail bar, La Reunion is modern British dining at its best. Their seasonally changing menu enables us to showcase quality, local ingredients, where possible. Taking inspiration from around the world, all of the dishes are designed to immerse you in our world driven by taste, technique and flavour.
The Rockmount
The Rockmount is a family friendly gastro pub at. Whether you’d like to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in the restaurant with the family, a tipple in an armchair by the open fire, or a pint watching a game in the Tap Room, they serve something to suit all tastes. Their Sunday lunch menu includes a fan favourite classic Sunday roast, as well as fish, gluten free and vegetarian options.
The Slaughterhouse
On the edge of the harbour, The Slaughterhouse is a stunning bar and eatery. Their extensive Sunday Lunch menu offers everything from Sandwiches and burgers to steak and salad and caters to all dietary requirements.
Auberge du Val
A gem hidden in a valley deep in St Saviour's, the Auberge du Val serves up Spanish and British dishes in their cosy restaurant indoors with a roaring open fire, as well as on their sunny courtyard.
The Blonde Hedgehog
The Blonde Hedgehog restaurant in Alderney serves sumptuous farm-to-table dishes and delicious homely desserts made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Their menu focuses on contemporary dining with a classic and traditional twist. Inspired by island life with a vision for the restaurant is to create innovative and exciting plates using predominantly locally-grown ingredients.
