Being just 30 miles from the Normandy coastline, the Islands of Guernsey have always had close connections with France. From our own from our very own take on the French Language with our native Guernésiais (also known as Guernsey French) to the historical French figures, such as Victor Hugo and Pierre-Auguste Renoir, who came to stay on our Islands and fell in love with them.
