10 Coffee Spots to Visit on Guernsey

Whether you're looking for a quiet spot to read a book and enjoy a relaxed cup of coffee, a takeaway while you wander, or a family pit stop whilst you explore the cliffs and beaches around the island, we've got you covered.

From the beautiful west coast to the heart of St Peter Port, these excellent coffee spots will keep you fuelled during your island adventure.

Mocca

Situated in the Old Quarter of St Peter Port at the top of Mill Street, Mocca offers the perfect hideaway whilst remaining close to the heart of town. With an eco yet urban design and a cosy atmosphere, it is the perfect place to start your morning or enjoy a quick lunch. There is also outdoor seating for fine weather days.

Alongside an impressive coffee selection (which includes seasonal syrups like pumpkin spice and gingerbread), Mocca also offers a wide selection of wraps, baguettes, pastries and sweet treats.

Christies

With its central St Peter Port location, art deco styling and friendly service, Christies Brasserie is the ideal spot for families, couples, business meetings and friendly catch-ups. Enjoy continental and cooked breakfasts, lunch, dinner and drinks in the brasserie's vibrant atmosphere, with idyllic harbour views.

The coffee selection includes everything from americanos and espressos to mochas and lattes, as well as vanilla, caramel and hazelnut syrups. If you’re looking for a cocktail hour coffee, they also offer liqueur coffees with whisky, brandy, Baileys, Tia Maria, Kahlua, amaretto and Cointreau. Their espresso martinis are also excellent after dinner.

Coco and Lola

A hotspot for locals, Coco enjoys a prime spot on the town seafront, serving all-day breakfast. With waffles, French toast, smoothie bowls, omelettes and more, their variety is hard to beat. 

The menu is also packed with coffee options (to sit-in or takeaway), including americanos, cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos, iced options and more. With a range of syrups also available, the perfect pick-me-up awaits!

Coco’s sister restaurant, Lola, recently opened in the town Market Place and offers all day brunch, sandwiches and many other hot and cold dishes. An extensive selection of coffees are available, including mochas and matchas, as well as iced coffees. They also have great hot chocolate and iced drinks for kids.

Mylk

Also located in the Market Place, My Little Kiosk, affectionately known as Mylk, is another everyday favourite. Their menu includes the classic variety of syrups, and features a whole range of hot and cold brews including matchas, mochas, and coffee shakes.

Also supplying crêpes, galettes, Mylkshakes, paninis and ice cream, Mylk is the perfect light bite pit stop in your adventure around St Peter Port. Enjoy your refreshments in their outdoor seating area, or sip as you go as you continue your island adventure.

Cobo Tearoom

Head out of St Peter Port and over to the west coast to enjoy your favourite coffee at the family-owned Cobo Tearoom.

With stunning ocean views of Cobo Bay, you can enjoy a range of delicious brews and blends, with options to add syrups, cream or (of course) an extra shot. There is also a breakfast menu, plus sandwiches, salads, jacket potatoes and hot meals, as well as delicious home-baked goods. All are available to eat-in or takeaway.

The Kiln

The Kiln Cafe & Restaurant is situated in Oatlands Village, alongside a range of craft shops and gift stores, as well as a playbarn and mini-golf course, making it the perfect family-friendly refreshment stop.

There are plenty of coffees to choose from on the menu, plus delicious homemade cakes, wholesome lunches and light bites throughout the day.

Good Rebel

If you're looking for a modern and chic coffee spot, Good Rebel is highly recommended. With soft, industrial decor and an open kitchen, Good Rebel is the ideal place for a morning coffee, sunny lunch on the patio, or afternoon drinks and cake.

Boasting a variety of blends and a range of syrups, enjoy your coffee in the restaurant with a sweet or savoury bite, or grab your coffee to go, and take in the view of Herm and Sark right outside.

Woodies

A local Guernsey chain with branches in The Pollet, near the Bus Station in St Peter Port, in St Martin's village, and at Chouet and Bordeaux in the Vale, a Woodies coffee shop is never far away.

Whether you've enjoyed one of the island's excellent walking routes, or indulged in a shopping spree, pop in for anything from a rich espresso to a frothy cappuccino, as well as a range of specials (currently including a cinnamon swirl latte). Bacon rolls, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, salads and soups, as well as fresh pastries and snacks, are also available.

If you love the Woodies coffee as much as islanders do, you can even recreate your favourite brew at home by picking up a bag of the Woodies blend coffee beans.

Renoir Tea Garden

Embark on a cliff path hike and then enjoy your coffee in the tranquillity of the Renoir Tea Garden. Located in the valley of Moulin Huet (with a coastline that inspired Renoir to create his famous Guernsey paintings), this location promises coffee with a fantastic view. 

The menu includes a variety of brews and syrups to create your perfect coffee; after which, why not try one of the teas handcrafted by Apothecary Guernsey?

Vistas Beach Cafe

Located at Vazon Bay, Vistas Beach Cafe is the ideal spot for warming up after a surf or sea swim. 

Enjoy your coffee on the roof terrace overlooking the west coast, or take your coffee to-go and walk along the beach whilst enjoying the sound of the waves.

With a laid-back ambiance, Vistas caters to everyone and offers a varied menu with breakfast, seafood, sandwiches and desserts to pair with your coffee.
