The air temperature may be dropping, but Guernsey's waters are entering their warmest season for the next two months. Whether you're keen to make the most of Guernsey's outdoor activities or explore history and the local cuisine as we move into the cosiest time of year, we've got you covered.

NOVEMBER
1st November - 31st March 2025: The Domes at The Duke
The highly anticipated Domes at The Duke return on 1 November 2024, with scenic views of Candie Gardens and the sea beyond. This unique setting is the perfect festive haven to enjoy the new party menu, afternoon tea, breakfast and an exclusive winter à la carte menu.
Three domes are available for booking; two can accommodate up to 6 guests, while the third can comfortably seat eight.
1st November: A Night of Sinatra
Join Tom Strawbridge and his 8-piece band alongside special guests as they sing in aid of Parkinson’s Guernsey and Parkinson’s UK at St James.
1st - 8th November: Guy Fawkes Night Fireworks Displays
Firework displays will be taking place at various venues across the island surrounding Guy Fawkes Night.
1st - 30th November: Christmas Markets
The Islands of Guernsey have traditional markets all year round, but the fairs and markets during the festive season are truly special. With attractions, stalls selling homemade goods and plenty of festive food and drink available, these unique markets are a must-visit.

2nd November: Exclusive wine dinner at Fermain Valley Hotel featuring Creation Wines
Join Fermain Valley for an exclusive evening, where you can enjoy an exquisite South African-inspired menu with wine pairings from Creation Wines, an award-winning sustainable winery.
5th November: Magic in the Café
Join Miss Magic and Rod Williams at St James for their interactive magic performance.
6th November: An Evening of Magic
Penn and Teller 'Fool Us' winner John Archer will be joined by Miss Magic for an evening of family-friendly comedy, magic and more at St James.
The event will also see a visit from special guest, and 2020 Britain's Got Talent finalist, Steve Royle.
7th November: Lecture & Music inspired by Victor Hugo
The Victor Hugo In Guernsey Society presents a Lecture & Recital at St. James by Arnaud Bigaignon de Sullé. Arnaud has attended many operas around the World and speaks regularly to public audiences about them. This will be the first occasion that he has spoken about Hugo’s influence on music and opera.
During his lecture, Arnaud will talk about the many and close links between Victor Hugo and music, and especially opera. His talk will be interspersed with performances by international artists.
8th - 10th November: Herm Yoga Retreat
Head to Herm for a yoga retreat hosted by Katie Brock who has been running retreats for 10 years, teaching for 13, and practising for 25 years.
Yoga Elements' retreats are an open and safe space for beginners through to the experienced, and teachers.
9th November: Emily Ferm Live
Join local singer Emily Fern for new music and a live lounge-inspired set list at St James.
9th November: A Military Band Musical Tribute
Guernsey Symphonic Winds present a varied programme of pieces to suit all tastes, including Light Classics, Film, Musical Theatre and concert works conducted by Alan Gough.
2024 marks the 80th anniversary year of the D-Day Landings and 110 years since the outbreak of World War One. The evening will include a special Military Tribute to mark Remembrance Weekend and a donation from the proceeds of this concert will be given to the Poppy Appeal.
13th November & 14th November: Drunk Women Solving Crime with Dawn O'Porter
Enjoy an evening of comedy, crime and literature, as the hit comedy podcast, Drunk Women Solving Crime returns to St James this November with special guest Dawn O’Porter.
The evening will begin with a Q&A with Sunday Times bestselling author, Dawn O'Porter about her new book, Honeybee, followed by a live recording of the podcast.
14th November: Japanese Calligraphy Evening Workshop
Japanese calligraphy, known as "Shodo", is the one of the oldest surviving traditional Japanese artforms. Emerging in Japan in the 4th Century, the art of writing Kanji (Chinese characters) creates beauty through the careful use of space and character formation.
While focusing on the formation of the individual brush strokes in each Kanji, Shodo teaches deep concentration and mindfulness. By practicing Shodo students can achieve improved focus and mental health, while also learning the history and meaning behind each Kanji.
15th - 17th November: Guernsey Specimen Fish Hunt
Round Three of the Guernsey Specimen Fish Hunt is on from 15-17th November. It is the highlight of the Sea Angling Club's year and runs from Friday 6.00-10.00 Sunday night.

15th November - 20th December: Art at the Park - ‘Through My Mind’s Eye’
Val Travers ‘Through My Mind’s Eye’ exhibition will run from Friday the 15 November until Friday 20 December from 10am until 4:30pm Tuesday to Sunday – please note the final day will end at 2pm.
15th November: 3 Elements with Jasper Høiby
As the founding member of Phronesis, Jasper Høiby returns with his new piano trio 3Elements, combining elements of contemporary jazz and European folky influences with improvisation.
15th November - 20th December: The Museum Christmas Shop
The Museum Christmas Shop at The Folk and Costume Museum is open from Friday 15th November – Friday 20th December.
16th November: Mirror Ball Night
Join Martin Krafty Kuts and Lee from Plump DJS for their new act "King of the Beats".
21st November: Wear a Guernsey Day
Don your guernsey and head to the Guernsey Information Centre between 10am - 4pm on Thursday 21st November, browse the stalls and enter the photo competition.
A ‘guernsey’ is a knitted jumper that has been traditionally made in Guernsey since the early 1800s.
The event is supporting Les Bourgs Hospice and is hosted by Guernsey Woollens - visit their website for more information and to buy online.
21st November: The Kooky Tea Club
The first in a new series of Kooky Tea Club events, "A Night at the Museum", will be taking place on the 21st November from 6pm to 10pm.
It is an imaginative collaboration with Guernsey Museums 'After Hours' at Candie Gardens. The evening begins with arrival drinks at 6pm sharp, with high tea after their Secret Guest presentation.
23rd, 24th & 30th November: Herm Christmas Shopping Trips

30th November: Christmas Lights Switch On
Father Christmas will take time out of his busy schedule to press the button that illuminates St Peter Port and The Bridge as well as collect letters from excited children.
On Saturday 30 November, Father Christmas will arrive around 4pm at the Model Yacht Pond before making his way to Market Square with the light switched on around 5pm.
30th November: BWCI Guernsey Youth Camerata Concert
Youth Camerata celebrates the talents of dedicated young Guernsey musicians.
Well established in the annual classical music calendar, this is a relaxed evening of musical variety and youthful enthusiasm.
This year’s concert features the Guernsey Music Centre’s premier orchestra, and woodwind solo and group performances.
DECEMBER
1st - 30th December: Christmas Lights Tours
A trip for all the family, get in the festive spirit and jump aboard Victor the Petit Train for a tour of the wonderful Christmas lights display in St Peter Port.
Young riders under 2 do not need a ticket - they ride for free.
1st - 20th December: The Museum Christmas Shop
The Museum Christmas Shop at The Folk and Costume Museum is open from Friday 15th November – Friday 20th December.
1st December: BWCI Guernsey Camerata Family Concert - Winter Wonderland
Alasdair Malloy mixes wintry music, familiar favourites, seasonal surprises and a scattering of singalongs with some festive spirit.

6th - 8th December: Guernsey International DanceSport Championships
Over three days, dancers from across the globe will showcase their talents in various styles and categories, competing for top honours and the admiration of dance enthusiasts.
The event promises a weekend filled with dynamic performances, fierce competition, and the joy of dance.
9th December: Christmas Courtyard Market at the Folk and Costume Museum
A Christmas Courtyard Market set on a cobbled courtyard, surrounded by heritage buildings in the heart of Guernsey.
The popular and atmospheric National Trust of Guernsey Christmas Courtyard Market takes place on Monday 9th December between 5pm and 8pm – the Museum Christmas Shop is also open during the event.
The Christmas Courtyard Market has become a popular event for artisan crafters and food stallholders providing high-quality gifts and festive fare for visitors of all ages. Christmas magic is in the air and the whole evening embraces the spirit of Christmas with carols around the tree.
13th & 14th December: GCOS Christmas Concerts
GCOS welcomes you to an evening of seasonal songs.
A selection of seasonal music, including choir and audience carols, joined by young voices from the Guernsey Music Centre and featuring “To be a Light” a Christmas choral work by the local composer, Chris Claxton.
14th December: Christmas Tractor Run
Each year on Guernsey, tractors travel around the island adorned in Christmas lights in support of a chosen charity.
The Tractor Run will start at Beaucamps school at 6:15pm before making its way around the island. As with previous years, you can come and look at the display before they head off. The organisers of the event are looking to arrange a food van at Beaucamps School before the Tractor Run begins.
14th December: Winter Fair Christmas Fun Market
Earlswood Garden Centre's final market of the year will be held on the 14th December from 10am to 4pm.
15th December: Homecoming Day
Homecoming Day is marked every year to commemorate the return to Alderney of the first group of islanders after WWII, following the mass evacuation of 1940. An important day in Alderney’s history, 2023 celebrates the 78th anniversary of Homecoming Day.
17th December: Guernsey Chamber Choir Christmas Concert
Guernsey Chamber Choir brings the seasonal carol concerts at St James to a close with the choir’s own favourite annual performance.
The choir will be joined by talented instrumentalists for an evening of traditional and modern carols and Christmas songs providing something for all musical tastes.
19th - 21st December: Big Band Collective - All I Want For Christmas
This Christmas come and join The Big Band Collective for three evenings of all your favourite Christmas Songs to get you in the festive mood
The 25-piece Big Band, singers and choir, will be perming songs including All I Want For Christmas, Step Into Christmas, Santa Baby, White Christmas, Fairly Tale of New York, Jingle Bell Rock and many more
25th December: The Polar Bear Swim
The Guernsey Swimming Club are holding the annual Polar Bear Swim on Christmas Day at La Vallette Bathing Pools.
This event is open to everyone of all ages and always has a great atmosphere.
26th December: Boxing Day Swim
Join thousands of islanders as they brave the cold and take a dip in the sea.
The Boxing Day swim is an annual event taking place at Cobo Bay, this year with a start time of 11am.
