Cambridge Park, a recreational park located on the outskirts of St Peter Port, offers wide open spaces for members of the public to enjoy. The has been used for many years by the Guernsey community to get together with friends and enjoy the great outdoors.
Cambridge Park is also adjacent to Beau Sejour, Guernsey’s community leisure centre, which boasts a range of different facilities for you and your family to enjoy after a pleasant walk through Cambridge Park. From the park you can access Beau Sejour’s outdoor playgrounds and a state-of-the-art skate park that was opened in 2013, which has been named as one of Europe’s best.
One of Cambridge Park’s most noticeable features is Churchill Avenue, a leafy tree-lined pedestrian avenue which, in Autumn when the leaves are golden brown and orange, is one of Guernsey’s most picturesque spots.
Cambridge Park also houses a stone plaque commemorating the last duel fought in the island in 1795, between Major Byng and James Taylor.
