The Guille-Alles Library's impressive building opened in 1888, and was for many years the centre of cultural life in Guernsey. Today you can visit the Guille-Alles Library for your regular library activities. The library also offers weekly rhyme and story time for babies and toddlers (places must be booked), as well as open story times for pre-school children and families, and holiday activities for school-aged children.

The building has step-free access via the accessible entrance to the left of the main door. All floors of the building can be accessed via a lift, big enough to accommodate standard size wheelchairs and mobility scooters. There is an Accessible Toilet on the second floor, at the far end of the Hayward Room - due to the constraints of the building, it's slightly smaller than the standard size, but is fully equipped with handrails and baby changing facilities. Assistance dogs are welcome in our building.
There are blue badge parking spaces beside the Town Church.
