L'Ancresse Common is a large public grassy common surrounded by multiple beaches, the most notable of which are L'Ancrese and Pembroke.
Fortifications from Napoleonic times and World War 2 bunkers can be found amongst other historic sites. There are various ancient burial sites on the common including La Varde Passage Grave & Millenium Stone, Les Fouaillages, and Le Dehus Burial Chamber, as well as great walking opportunities, coastal kiosks, an 18-hole golf course, and an outdoor shooting range.
