View Map Visit WebsiteJapanese calligraphy, known as "Shodo", is one of the oldest surviving traditional Japanese art forms. Emerging in Japan in the 4th Century, the art of writing Kanji (Chinese characters) creates beauty through the careful use of space and character formation.
While focusing on the formation of the individual brush strokes in each Kanji, Shodo teaches deep concentration and mindfulness. By practising Shodo students can achieve improved focus and mental health, while also learning the history and meaning behind each Kanji.
