The Parish of St Pierre du Bois is hosting another fabulous Liberation Day celebration for our Island Community on Friday 9th May 2025, with a party for everyone! Join us on L’Eree common, beach and roadside to celebrate 80 years of freedom from the occupying forces.
The full and varied programme has something for everyone, with Remembrance, Education & Celebration in equal measure. The full schedule will be released in April, once finalised.
The event remains FREE OF CHARGE for all activities and entertainment, thanks to generous sponsors.
Accessible parking & WC's are available with plentiful seating & tables provided.
Frequent DAYTIME AND NIGHT BUSES will be available this year and plenty of cycle spaces plus there'll be BIG SCREEN LIVE STREAMING of the key events in St. Peter Port, including the morning Parade, Cavalcade & Fireworks.
Join us for the People's Service of Thanksgiving at 10am, followed by the popular traditional 1940's singing, film screenings, occupation interviews, rolling images, photographic memorabilia and a People's Parade that's open to everyone!
There'll be much fun provided for the children all day too, both on the beach & common.
Live music all day and evening, breaking for the essential Veg, Cheese & Meat Draw!
Please Follow this event and the St. Pierre du Bois FB Page to keep up to date with more exciting news and information as it's released.
We thank you for your support as always and look forward to seeing you all for another fantastic Community Event!
