We’re the people that brought you The Hook restaurant on the North Plantation, and now we’ve opened ‘Fukku’, which aims to be a more informal, casual and affordable Japanese experience.
The mission is to make food that is healthy, fresh, fast, zingy, salty, spicy, crunchy and savoury. And because it’s Japanese, it’s all beautiful. On the menu are ramen bowls, poke bowls, tempura dishes, potent salads, slabs of tofu, lots of pickles, grilled seafood, and deep-fried treats like octopus balls.
It’s the perfect place to grab a speedy sit-down or takeaway lunch, and come and relax after work to soak up sake, wine, or beer in unpretentious surroundings. Fukku, which means ‘hooked on’ in Japanese, is our bow to the humble Japanese Izakayas.
