This walk through the parish of the Castel varies from gentle country lanes to a climb up to a headland with spectacular views over Cobo Bay. We start in Saumarez Park, one of the hubs of Island life with its vast grassy areas, tearooms and fascinating museums about island life. The trail then moves onwards and upwards to the Guet where pine woods and the remains of fortifications overlook the West coast. Finally, you follow a fascinating nature trail which takes you down towards Cobo. A short detour here would enable you to visit the bay with its safe sandy beach, café, pub, restaurants and kiosks or you can continue on the route which completes your journey, arriving back at the park
