Our dairy cows are world-famous. And with good reason. Our dairy supplies homes and restaurants across the island with fresh milk, cream, butter, ice cream and cheese. Local producers also make popular ice creams, often found stocked in local restaurants or for sale at food markets.

The waters surrounding the Islands of Guernsey offer plentiful stocks of fresh fish and shellfish, meaning your seafood makes it from sea to plate in record time. In addition to our traditional cider making, Island-made spirits are on the rise. With a growing range of Guernsey gins on the market and a new influx of locally made rums also making a splash, be sure to test a tipple when you come to visit.

Hedge Veg is one of the special things about island life - a quirky tradition from time gone by that has stood the test of time and has evolved to become a stalwart of Guernsey life, with no loss of charm or uniqueness. Stalls selling homemade bakes and crafts, as well as eggs, fruit and veg are dotted all over the island.
