Batterie Mirus (1.75 hours)

Batterie Scharnhorst (1.25 hours)
Join us for a guided tour around Batterie Scharnhorst which is situated on private land. View two gun emplacements together with ammunition stores and personnel shelters. Hear how this Batterie was used during the Occupation and what eventually happened to the guns housed there. View exclusive photographs from a private collection.
Fort Hommet (1.75 hours)
Embark on a captivating journey through history from neolithic times to today with our tour of the Fort Hommet headland. Unveil the strategic positioning from the era of the imposing Napoleonic Fort commanding panoramic views across the west coast and inland. Hear how this area was transformed during WW2 and view rare photographs from a private collection. Exclusive access will be provided to two private bunkers (restored personnel shelter and M19 bunker), each bearing witness to the island’s wartime saga.
The German Underground Hospital (approx 1 hour) - join us for a guided tour inside the largest structural reminder of the German Occupation existing in the Channel Islands. Your guide will provide you with information on the construction and use of this facility during WW2. As you walk through the many tunnels, you will be shown various interesting areas which without a guide you may unwittingly walk past.
This site also houses some interesting exhibitions, and has aerial footage photographs from WW2 of various areas around the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Although all on the flat, there is a great deal of walking in this tour, and whilst there is one wheelchair onsite for use by guests, this should be booked in advance for those with mobility issues.
