About La Barbarie

Formerly a 16th century priory, La Barbarie has a relaxing country house ambiance, combined with the stylish elegance of a contemporary boutique hotel.

While the hotel is sheltered and secluded along a leafy country lane, it’s just a short stroll down to the beach at Saint’s Bay and offers easy access to the stunning cliff walks of the south coast. Guernsey’s capital, the charming St Peter Port, with its shops, bars, restaurants and its lovely harbour, is a short bus journey from a stop right around the corner from the hotel.

The hotel has a heated swimming pool, and a south-facing sun terrace which is the perfect spot for a morning coffee, lazy lunch, afternoon tea, cocktails or aperitifs. The restaurant is very popular locally, with a menu which changes seasonally to take advantage of the very best local produce.
