Cobo Bay

Who needs the Caribbean when we have so many gloriously unspoilt stretches of sand right on our doorstep? Cobo Bay is one of Guernsey’s treasures. It is one of the island’s most popular beaches, hosting not only beautiful white sands and crystal clear waters, but also a handful of amenities just across the road.

The bay attracts people from all different age groups for all the right reasons. The beach is easily accessible for people with a slipway at each end of the beach and a couple of stairways leading down to the beach dotted along the sea wall. It is a great place to go to take a dip in the inviting waters, or if you’re there at the right time, go and explore the rock pools that are unveiled at low tide.

If you’re feeling slightly peckish why not have a little potter around all of the extra facilities that the bay beholds? The Rockmount, a very popular gastro pub, offers a delicious range of traditional and contemporary pub food as well as a selection of ales and ciders.

Overlooking the beautiful bay, Cobo Tearoom prides itself on its homemade produce friendly service and homely atmosphere. Various light lunches and traditional Guernsey bean jar are served daily as well as freshly ground coffee.

If you’re wanting to grab a quick bite to eat and enjoy it while sat on the beach, Cobo Kiosk and the famous Cobo Fish Bar are there to fulfil your needs whilst you enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets.
