Moulin Huet Bay is located in the depths of St. Martins, with shallow waters as turquoise as the Caribbean and breathtaking views of the cliffs.

Legendary Impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir fell in love with the secluded cove while visiting Guernsey in September 1883, and painted 15 famous pieces of Moulin Huet during his stay. Enjoy the stunning views of the St. Martins cliffs and see what inspired him so much.

Nearby, you can embark on the Renoir Walk, which is a short, self-guided trail that takes visitors to locations where Renoir painted during a summer holiday in 1883.

The Renoir Walk follows his footsteps around the bay and is marked by five empty picture frames, which are placed in the exact spots where Renoir worked on his own paintings. The frames – especially commissioned to echo the ornate frames Renoir chose for his own artworks – allow viewers to see Moulin Huet from the same perspectives as the Frenchman did.

You can also enjoy refreshments at Renoir Tea Garden, well known for their excellent homemade cakes and delicious crab sandwiches.
