Turn off the cliff path and wander inwards to find a country pub with a roaring fire or a sun-drenched beer garden, depending on the season. Most serve food too, so settle in for a couple of hours.

St Peter Port has a very cosmopolitan bar scene. From wine and cheese or tapas to cocktails overlooking the harbour or on hotel terraces, it’s the perfect way to spend an evening.

The best place to view the sunset is on the west coast of any island. Grab a Guernsey gin and tonic or pint of local cider and enjoy the view. Whether solo or in a group, it’s an experience not to be missed.
